Piece 2 new, frame 1. One 16:9 film frame, stylized 3D kids' animation; characters exactly as on the character card (image 1), look and light as in the storyboard sheet (image 2). No text.
Pitch-black water at 4000 m. Medium shot from the front-side: the two children swimming side by side, Kira (small) on the LEFT, Yan (taller, glasses) on the RIGHT. Suddenly a broad, flat, dark wine-red ribbon — one arm of a giant Stygiomedusa (anatomy as in image 3: flat curtain-like arm with a thin wavy edge) — slides slowly through Yan's white beam right in front of his helmet; only the part inside the beam is lit, the rest vanishes into black. Both children flinch back in surprise, eyes wide, Kira grabbing Yan's arm. Clear bubble helmets with exactly two dark puck lamps outside the glass each, beams forward; fine dust only inside the beams.
