Character reference sheet of ONE giant phantom jellyfish (Stygiomedusa gigantea) for a children's animated series. Images 1–4 are real deep-sea footage of this exact species: copy its true anatomy, proportions, materials and colours from them. Image 5 is a frame from our animated series: use it only for the rendering style (soft stylized 3D feature-animation look, same polish and lighting quality); the children in it are not part of this sheet. Anatomy and colour, as in images 1–4: - Bell: a broad, smooth, rounded dome like a soft hat, smoky translucent grey-mauve, with a warm orange-red core showing through the translucent bell from inside (internal organs seen through the body, not glowing light); the bell rim edged with a neat row of small rounded scalloped lappets. - Arms: EXACTLY FOUR (4) oral arms, no more: very broad, thin, flat, softly folded curtain-like sheets of translucent grey-mauve tissue, some folds with a darker wine-red underside, billowing like fabric, each arm many times longer than the bell. - No thin stinging tentacles anywhere. Layout on a dark blue-black deep-water background with many fine flakes of marine snow, lit by one white lamp from the front-left as in images 1–4: (1) three-quarter side view of the bell and the upper parts of the four curtain arms, with a plain grey silhouette of a 125 cm child diver in a round bubble helmet next to it for scale: the bell is about as wide as the child is tall (about 1 metre); (2) view from below looking up into the bell, the four broad arms clearly separate in a cross; (3) small full-length view: the bell at the top and the four broad curtain arms trailing far down, about ten bell-lengths long. Clean sheet, no text, no labels, no logos.
